Device Not Responding Error

Device not responding errors are seen in the event log of the server whenever there is no response from the device.

This error is also seen when the wrong Device ID is set in the TOP Server configuration or the Comm. settings in a serial connection don't match the hardware settings.

You can also get Device not responding errors when the device your are trying to communicate with does not respond within the Time out settings for a particular driver. Check the driver specific help file for information on any specific time out settings.
