How do I set the Device ID for the Allen-Bradley FlexLogix Controller?

When using the ControlLogix Ethernet Driver with the FlexLogix 5400 Device model, I get an "Invalid Device ID" message when I set the Device ID to its IP address.

The Device ID for an Allen-Bradley FlexLogix controller should be formatted as:

<IP address>,1,<slot number of the CPU>


For example, a FlexLogix controller Device ID could be: 64.132.42.21,1,0.

Make sure you set the protocol type to Symbolic.
