Using Scan Rate Override in Alias Map

Is there a way to change the polling rate/frequency on the various topics I'm using for my client application?

You can change your poll rate per topic/item by using the scan rate override function in your TOP Server Alias Map. The scan rate defaults to zero for all topics listed. To access the alias map, in TOP Server:

  1. Go to Edit ⇒ Alias Map.
  2. To access the properties for each topic/item/alias, highlight the alias you would like to edit and click the second icon at the top with the white shield and a pencil.
  3. This will open the alias properties menu.
  4. Underneath the Mapped to section you will see the Scan rate override field, which can be used to set your client polling rate for your topic. 

You can do this for each of the alias/topics for which you would like to change the poll rate.
