Barcode Scanner Data into Wonderware Clients
The barcode reader currently transmits data to a PC where we are running Portkey serial software to read the data and write the info to text files. How do I read the barcode data directly into a SuiteLink and/or OPC server directly and make available to Wonderware software?
The TOP Server UCON driver has no trouble communicating with most barcode scanners and has an integral Suitelink interface for communications with Wonderware clients. Most barcode scanners send unsolicited strings of ASCII data terminated by specific characters indicating the end of that string of data.

It is fully functional for 2 hours, after which you can restart the TOP Server runtime to reset the trial for additional 2 hour periods. The TOP Server UCON driver is also available for purchase through your local Wonderware distributor.
