Can I use the Symbol Factory library to build a PowerPoint presentation

Can I use the library to build a PowerPoint presentation without using an HMI?

PowerPoint does support ActiveX controls via VBA and standard controls can be inserted. With a licensed copy of the Symbol Factory ActiveX, you can use any of the symbols in PowerPoint and in your HMI, but you can't copy and paste the ActiveX from PPT to the HMI.  After you have installed your licensed copy of Symbol Factory and opened your PowerPoint presentation, do the following.
  1. On the slide you wish to insert symbols click View ⇒ Toolbars ⇒ Control Toolbox.
  2. Click the More Controls Icon (a hammer and wrench).
  3. Select Symbol Factory Standard Control
  4. Right click and while the mouse button is depressed, drag the mouse across the slide to size the control. SF will insert the first control.
  5. To find the control you want to insert, double click the control on the slide.  This will open the VB editor.
  6. In the control properties list, select custom and click the icon (square with the ellipse ...)
  7. Set the properties you want and then verify the control on the slide.
