Using VMWare Hardware Acceleration with Symbol Factory .NET

I plan to develop with Symbol Factory .NET in a VMWare Virtual Workstation V6 environment. Are there any special considerations I need to keep in mind?

The first consideration is licensing. Symbol Factory .NET is licensed on a per developer computer basis. If you plan to copy a VMWare image and use it on more than one computer for development, you will need more than one license of Symbol Factory .NET.

The second is the use of hardware acceleration features of VMWare. You need to turn off DirectDraw and Direct3D support as these features, when used in the virtual environment, prevent transparency from working with Symbol Factory .NET symbols and actually will result in symbols appearing to be "invisible".
