Received Error 1035 when starting a service
I received a "Error 1035: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" error when my OmniServer Poller tries to start up as a service. It was working the day before. How can I fix this?
Most likely, either an OmniServer DLL, or a DLL that OmniServer depends upon, has been corrupted. To fix this:
- Run the OmniServer installation program.
- When prompted with "Modify, Repair, or Remove", select "Repair".
- Click Finish when done.
This will repair any OmniServer files that may have gotten corrupted.
If this doesn't fix the problem, it could also be that the System account (which by default OmniServer runs) may not have the rights to run the program. Please contact us for additional information should this occur.
