Importing OPC items into the DataHub

Loading All the Item on the Server

The DataHub can import all the items from your OPC Server.  When creating the OPC Connection simply choose "Load All Items on Server"

Loading a Subset of Items from the Server

If you are looking to import a subset of the items in the server you can use the CSV import.  Attached is a script and a CSV file that can be downloaded and used to import tags.

Please place both files in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cogent\Cogent DataHub\scripts" directory.

First you will need to define the OPC Server connection in the DataHub.  You will want to choose Manually Select Items.  You MUST define the OPC Connection first because the first Column in the CSV file is the name of the OPC Connection.

Once you have defined all your OPC Connections you will need to add your tags to the CSV file.

Lastly, you will add the script to your DataHub and run it ONCE.  If you run the script more then once you will see duplicate tags in your DataHub.
