How can data from iFIX Process Database be logged to a Text File?

Is there a way to access the iFIX process database and make that data available in Excel?

OPC Data Logger can access and log data from any OPC Data Access Server supporting OPC DA 2.x interfaces or OPC DA 3.0 servers supporting OPC DA 2.0 interfaces.  The OPC data can be logged to Text/CSV files, Access, SQL, Oracle or any ODBC compliant database. Making the data available in an Excel .CSV file would be possible using the OPC Data Logger because iFIX exposes the process database tags via an OPC DA Server interface.

For the iFIX connection, OPC Data Logger would connect via the iFIX OPC Server interface, using the ProgID, Intellution.OPCiFix.1.  This allows browsing of the iFIX process data tags. These process data tags can be selected in the OPC Data Logger configuration for logging.

A free demonstration version of OPC Data Logger is available for download that is fully functional and will log for 2 hours at a time, after which it may be restarted.  The demo expires after 30 days, after which a license may be purchased to unlock the demonstration version.  Download the Free Demo!
