Allen-Bradley 1761-NET-ENI series C/D - compatibility with TOP Server ControlLogix Ethernet driver

Although our documentation does not specifically call out the Series C and D NET-ENI modules, they are compatible with the TOP Server ControlLogix Ethernet driver as described below.

Documentation specifies that the ControlLogix Ethernet driver will work with the Allen Bradley 1761-NET-ENI series A and B.
Does the driver additionally work with the series C and D, of the 1761-NET-ENI device?  Further, is it necessary for the 1761-NET-ENI to be attached to channel 0, as per the help file?

 

The documentation for the NET-ENI modules indicates that the major differences between Series A/B models and Series C/D models is that the C/D models support 10/100 MB Ethernet where the Series A/B only supported 10 MB Ethernet.

Additionally, it is necessary to connect the DF1 Serial port of the 1761-NET-ENI module to the Channel 0 port on the Allen-Bradley device with which you are communicating and not the Channel 1 port.
