Addressing ControlLogix String Tags from InTouch via TOP Server Allen-Bradley Suite
How do I enter the address in the ItemName field in InTouch when configuring an InTouch tag to talk to a ControlLogix string tag by way of the TOP Server AB Suite without configuring any tags in TOP Server?
The syntax to use in your InTouch item name is:
tagname.data/length@string
Example for a 20 character string tag named "mystringtag":
mystringtag.data/20@string
