TOP Server install crashes without an Error message

The TOP Server installation crashes after selecting the drivers and clicking Next.

The symptoms are as follows:

  • On the License Agreement step at the very bottom it reads "To Install %p, you must accept this agreement".
  • On the Choose Destination Location step in the wizard it reads "Setup will install %P in the following folder".  Also if you look at the Destination Folder it is blank.
  • On the Select Features step it will read "0.00 MB of space required on the drive %s of space available on the %s drive"
  • As soon as you click Next on this screen, it will crash without an error message.

The problem is that there are different versions of the InstallShield Common Files.

The solution we have found is to delete the IsProBE.tlb file in the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime" directory.

You should now be able to re-run the install without any problems. The Installer will create a new version of this file for you.
