Trouble accessing the design properties with Industrial Gadgets Pro

The design properties interface will not load properly. What do I do?

You can correct this by adding ShowMultiLineInstructions = 0 to .ini file.

  1. Browse to the IndustrialGadgetsPro.ini file (C:\ProgramFiles\Software Toolbox\Industrial Gadgets ActiveX\IndustrialGadgetsPro.ini if you installed in the default location)

  2. Add a line to the file that says:

    ShowMultiLineInstructions=0
  3. Save the configuration file and restart Visual Studio.

We have seen that this procedure is also applicable to InduSoft and may be used with other HMIs.
