iFIX Connection to TOP Server V5.1 via PDB using Remote Desktop
I am having problems successfully connecting to TOP Server from iFIX on the same machine using the native PDB interface (not OPC). I am connecting to the TOP Server/iFIX PC using Remote Desktop.
When connecting iFIX to TOP Server using the native PDB interface and using Remote Desktop, you must make sure to log-in to the Remote Desktop session as the console/admin user, otherwise the connection will fail. This is a limitation of Remote Desktop with respect to PDB connections (this does not affect OPC client connections to TOP Server).
When using Remote Desktop to access the PC, make sure to use one of the following command strings to launch Remote Desktop:
- mstsc /console
- mstsc /admin
