Unable to Add Tags for PMC Data Addresses for GE Focas Ethernet (v5.1.71)

I am trying to communicate with my GE Fanuc Focas CNC using TOP Server V5.1 and the GE Fanuc Focas Ethernet driver.  I am able to communicate successfully using Custom Macro Value addresses.  However, if I try to add any addresses listed in the PMC data table referenced in the GE Focas Ethernet driver help file, I receive the following error message from TOP Server:

"Address is out of range for the specified device or register"

How can I access these addresses?

There is a known issue with the GE Focas Ethernet driver with adding PMC Data addresses to the TOP Server address space.  This issue has been resolved by the driver patch attached to this answer, which revises the GE Fanuc Focas Ethernet driver from V5.1.71.0 to V5.1.71.5.

We recommend you upgrade to Version 5.2 or higher of TOP Server as the best way to resolve this issue.

If you must stick with Version 5.1 and wish to patch your Version 5.1 install, the following instructions will allow you to apply this patch if you are experiencing this issue:

  1. With TOP Server V5.1 installed, make sure the runtime service is stopped (Right-click on the Admin System Tray icon and select "Stop Runtime Service" if available).
  2. Browse to C:\Program Files\Software Toolbox\TOP Server 5\Drivers
  3. Replace the file named "ge_focas1_ethernet_u.dll" with the file from the below zip file.
  4. Restart the TOP Server runtime service.
