Does the TOP Server support Auto Demotion?

I have a device configured in one of my channels that has unreliable communications. When it goes offline, it slows down the updates to the other devices. Is there a way to speed up the communication?

The TOP Server supports a feature called Auto Demotion that will temporarily remove a non-responsive device from the scan cycle. This will allow the driver to continue to optimize its communications with the other devices. The TOP Server will periodically attempt to communicate with the non-responsive device, on an interval that is configurable in the device properties. If the device responds it will be re-added to the scan cycle.
