InTouch Client Driver and TOP Server as a Service
Is it possible to operate the TOP Server as a Windows Service while using the InTouch Client driver for exposing InTouch tags to OPC Clients? I used to do this in V4.x but it doesn't seem to work with V5.x or V6.x
Due to the change in architecture with TOP Server V5.x/V6.x required to run on newer operating systems and due to the process used to communicate by this driver and InTouch, there is some additional configuration required for TOP Server to communicate using the InTouch Client driver.
It is possible for the InTouch Client driver to communicate with no issues by just changing the TOP Server process mode to "Interactive".
- Right-click on the Admin system tray icon for TOP Server.
- Select "Settings"
- Select the "Runtime Process" tab.
- Change the "Selected Mode" from "System Service" to "Interactive" and apply the changes.
