Are Microsoft security patches and service packs tested against TOP Server V5?
Is the TOP Server V5 tested against Microsoft Security Patches such as MS10-046 and operating system service packs?
TOP Server is not tested specifically against individual Microsoft Security Patches due to the frequency of such patch releases. TOP Server V5 is tested against the most current service pack or patch set for operating systems prior to each release. Therefore, all service packs and security patches prior to the release date of the build of TOP Server V5 in use will be supported.
If there are specific security patches you need to have installed on their production systems, we always recommend using the demo version of TOP Server in a test architecture similar to the production system to confirm there are no issues.
In general, from a support perspective, we find that Microsoft Security Patches rarely, if ever, have any effect on TOP Server, but it is always recommended to test the software with your expected configuration prior to going into production.
