Unable to Access Topic Items with Password Protected Protocol
I am using OmniServer. I have created a new Topic using an existing protocol. The protocol is password protected.Using a test client, the original topic works and accesses my items/tags with no issues. But the new topic using the same protocol does not allow me to browse to or access any items/tags for the protocol aside from the "Status" item and statistics items.Why is it not possible to access these items in any additional topics that I add?
This problem is a known issue that has been resolved starting with OmniServer V2.7 Build 020. When password protection is enabled for a protocol, the protocol file is then encrypted. This issue was caused by improperly decrypting subsequent instances of the protocol being used by multiple topics.
To resolve this issue, it will be necessary to upgrade to the current version of OmniServer. To download the latest version of OmniServer, click here.
