Using TOP Server v5.5 and before with Modbus Plus on Windows 7 and Server 2008
I am using the Modbus Plus Adapter (model number TSXCUSBMBP using MBX driver 7.1) and TOP Server v5.5 or earlier. My PC is unable to boot normally and I must boot in safe mode. Is this a known issue?
We have unfortunately seen something of this behavior in v5.5 and earlier of TOP Server. If you are using v5.0 to v5.5 you must use the workaround below or upgrade to v5.6 or newer to resolve the problem.
Workaround:
- Boot into safe mode
- Change all of the TOP Server services to "Automatic (Delayed Start)"
- Reboot into normal mode
This will allow the computer to boot normally.
