Wonderware SuiteLink Users - Wonderware Hotfix L00117361

Invensys Operations Management has brought to Software Toolbox's attention that Hotfix L00117361 has been released to address an issue introduced with the Wonderware Run Time Components (RTC) 3.0 SP2 update (June 2011).

A change was made to the wwsl.dll in that update to increase security by shrinking an internal buffer size.  This change introduced a problem for SuiteLink clients that may occur when a SuiteLink Client application is registering from a remote node or via terminal services (TSE) on the same node.

If you are experiencing issues in such a situation, it is recommended to apply this hotfix to resolve the issue.

Software Toolbox is providing this information and hotfix, with instructions, for your convenience, as Software Toolbox products such as TOP Server and OmniServer do provide a SuiteLink interface that could be affected by this issue.  This hotfix was provided by Invensys Operations Management and any questions or issues with this hotfix should be directed to your local Wonderware distributor.
