TOP Server Error: Unable to connect to the event logger service

I am receiving an error "Unable to connect to the event logger service" from the TOP Server.

There are several things that could cause this issue:

1. The TOP Server Event Logger service communicates on port 56239, by default. If you are running an anti-virus software, or firewall verify that this port, or the event logger service is added as an exception to the firewall or anti-virus.

2. It is also possible that another piece of software is using the TOP Server's default port. You can change the default port by right clicking on the TOP Server Administration icon in the system tray and going to Settings. On the Event Log tab, adjust the "Communicate using port" setting.

If you do not have the TOP Server Administration icon running in the system tray, you can launch it by going to Start | All Programs | Software Toolbox | TOP Server 6 | TOP Server 6 Administration.
