Supported Logix Firmware Revisions (By Device Model)

TOP Server Current Version ControlLogix Ethernet driver supports the following firmware revisions.

This driver is available as part of the TOP Server AB/Rockwell Suite and can be downloaded here.

We recommend always running the latest version of TOP Server.  If you are running a non-current version then you should review the TOP Server Release Notes for the version you are running and versions prior to determine what version is supported.

V36 & V37 Firmware Support (TOP Server V7.0.236.0 and higher) includes:

  • Added new members to existing ENERGY_BASE, ENERGY_ELECTRICAL, ODOMETER, SIGNED_ODOMETER PDTs for offline tag generation
  • Added new OPCUA_SERVER_ADDRESS PDT for offline tag generation
  • No support for new motion reference PDTs (e.g. REF_TO_AXIS_CIP_DRIVE)
  • Added new members to existing AXIS_CIP_DRIVE PDTs for L5K/L5X ATG
  • Increased the min/max days from ±31d to ±106750d for TIME and LTIME

V35 Firmware Support (TOP Server V6.16.203.0 and higher) includes:

  • Support for GuardLogix PLCs via CompactLogix and ControlLogix Models
  • Added new members to existing AXIS_CIP_DRIVE and MOTION_GROUP PDTs for offline tag generation
  • The following new V35 data types are not currently supported: P_DISCRETE_4STATE, P_DISCRETE_MIX_PROOF, and P_DISCRETE_N_POSITION PDTs

V34 Firmware support (TOP Server V6.12.235.0 and higher) includes the following:

  • CAM_EXTENDED and CAM_PROFILE_EXTENDED PDTs for offline automatic tag generation
  • New members to existing AXIS_CIP_DRIVE PDT for offline automatic tag generation
  • The following new V34 data types are not currently supported: DT, LDT, TIME32, TIME, and LTIME PDTs
