Changing the TOP Server 5 SuiteLink Application Name

I am upgrading from TOP Server Version 4 to TOP Server Version 5; how can I use the same InTouch project without having to change all my access names?

Starting with TOP Server 5.8, this is very easy to do, just as long as V4 and V5 are not installed side-by-side. Make sure that you have the Wonderware Common components installed on the TOP Server machine, and verify that you select the DDE/Suitelink Interface (Under Native Client Interfaces) during the TOP Server 5 installation process.

Open up the TOP Server Configuration Application, and navigate to File ⇒ Project Properties ⇒ FastDDE/SuiteLink Tab, verify that Suitelink is enables, and then change the Application Name to the desired value?

Default TOP Server 4 Application Name: servermain

Default TOP Server 5/6 Application Name: server_runtime
