Moving a window when the title bar is off the screen

I disconnected my second monitor and now I can't see an application window I was working with. How can I move this back onto my working screen?

For most Windows applications you can do the following steps:

  • Make sure the application is active
  • Press Alt + Spacebar
  • Press the M key (This selects the Move option)
  • Use the arrow keys to slide the window back into view
  • Press Enter when the window is back in view.

This will only work with windows that have the Minimize, Restore and Close buttons in the upper right corner.
