Temporary Files created by Extended Data Store
I am running TOP Server 5. There are multiple .tmp files being created in the following directory on my machine.
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\Documents\Software Toolbox\TOP Server\V5
These files are taking up too much space on my C drive. How can I eliminate or reduce the number and size of these files?
These files are temporarily used during the creation of extended data store files for the Event Log, OPC Diagnostics, and/or Communication Diagnostics. They are the working area while the files are being created and filled up and should be getting cleaned up as it goes along. The size of these temp files are based on the file size set for the extended data store.
The extended data store settings can be modified or turned off by right-clicking on the TOP Server Admin icon in the system tray, choosing Settings, and navigating to the Event Log tab. Extended data store is set under the Persistence Mode.
