TOP Server and Mitsubishi Q Series Controllers with built in Ethernet Ports
Does the TOP Server Mitsubishi Driver Suite support communications with Q Series Controllers with Built in Ethernet Ports?
The Q Series CPUs with built in Ethernet ports are most certainly supported, but the default communication ports in TOP Server will not be correct. In order to configure the communications, a few settings must be verified in the PLCs Ethernet Port Settings in GX Works2; found under PLC Parameter.
- Verify the IP Address settings
- The Communication Data Code should be set to Binary
- In Open Setting verify whether whether TCP or UDP is selected for the Protocol
- In Open System verify that MC Protocol is selected
- Specify the Host Station Port Number - valid port ranges are 1025-4999 (0x0401H - 0x1387H) and 5010 to 65534 (0x1392H - 0xFFFEH)
Please note that the default TOP Server ports of 5000 (UDP) and 5001 (TCP) are NOT included in the ranges above.
Q Series Controllers with built in Ethernet ports will not have network or station number. When configuring the device address these should be set to:
<IP Address>:N0:255 or <IP Address>:255
