How do I connect to a Mettler Toledo IND560?
Do you have any way of communicating with a Mettler Toledo IND560?
Yes we certainly do. The IND560 supports the "standard" Mettler Toledo SICS protocol, but only via a serial connection. OmniServer comes with a sample of the SICS protocol. This type of configuration can be done via a direct serial connection between the IND560 and the machine running OmniServer, or via an Ethernet-Serial converter.
The IND560 also supports Modbus TCP/IP via the second of the two internal Ethernet Ports. Here, either OmniServer or TOP Server Modbus Suite can be used.
Please reference the IND560 user manual for scale-specific settings that need to be configured for both protocols.
