Attempt to add item failed error from InTouch
I'm trying to connect my InTouch client application to TOP Server. In my TOP Server Event Log I see: "Attempt to add item '...' failed"
This error occurs when the addressing is incorrect in your InTouch application.
If you are addressing a tag currently configured in your TOP Server application check the tag name configured in your project for spelling and structure.
If you are dynamically addressing a tag from InTouch, the tag may not exist or the addressing could be incorrect. A good test for this is to create a static tag in your TOP Server project and use the Quick Client to confirm good quality.
