UA Connection Problems to Opto22 Groov after TOP Server upgrade

I am using the Opto22 Groov22 OPC Client, with a OPC UA connection to TOP Server. This was working, but after upgrading my TOP Server 5 version I am receiving connection problems. How can I get Groov22 to communicate with TOP Server again?

This problem is likely a result of the OPC UA configuration changes that are possible depending on what version is being upgraded from and what version is being upgraded to. Please verify the following settings:

  1. Open the TOP Server OPC UA Configuration utility from the Software Toolbox Folder in the start menu, and make note of the Endpoint URLs.
  2. Verify that the security for the endpoint that will be used is set to "None". If not, double click the end point and change it.
  3. Right click on the TOP Server Icon in the System tray and "Reinitialize" the server - this step is required to commit the endpoint URL Changes
  4. In the Groov22 client add a new OPC UA Server, give it a user friendly name, and use the Endpoint URL that was recorded in step 1.

The Groov22 error messages will generally mention incorrect security when connecting to the UA Server - if a different error is seen, or you are not sure whether the error is related to the security settings, please open a support ticket for assistance.
