Capturing Spontaneous and Cyclical transmissions in the TOP Server IEC 60870-5-104 driver

I am noticing that my data point is only changing value when cause of transmission is spontaneous, and never for any Cyclic/Periodic COTs, how can I capture value changes for both?

Spontaneous and Cyclic events will be captured depending on the Sub-type, or 'attribute', that is used when addressing the tag in TOP Server.

  • <TagAddress>.VALUE will capture with any event playback changes, including spontaneous transmissions.
  • <TagAddress>.CURRENTVALUE will capture all unbuffered data, including cyclic and polled reads.
