OPC Data Client Products Licensing Details

License Options

The OPC Data Client offers several licensing options to suit your individual product needs.

Runtime Free License: This license will allow you to develop your application on a single machine. You can deploy your compiled application to any number of runtime machines.

License Protection

OPC Data Client has software and/or hardware license protection.

1. Demo license When OPC Data Client is installed without any license, it will automatically work in demo mode. OPC Data Client demo mode allows the compiled application to communicate with the server for 30 minutes at a time. Stopping and restarting the application will restart the demo timer. 

The purpose of the Demo mode is to provide user with a possibility to evaluate and try using the product. Use of OPC Data Client in Demo mode on real projects is not allowed.

2. Temporary license is a fully functional license with a limited period of service (available for periods of 10-30 days). This license is available as a software license only, delivered as a .bin file.

Runtime will work continuously nonstop with that type of license, until license period is expired. Software Toolbox can issue temporary license for specific cases on per-case base.  Temporary license can be issued on any period up to 30 days. 3. Permanent license is available  as a software protection (file *.bin, *.txt).

In case of using a software license, after purchasing a permanent OPC Data Client license, product activation has to be done in the OPC Data Client License Manager, according to the procedure.
