TOP Server v6 Unable to connect to runtime service

I have installed TOP Server 6.1 but whenever I open the configuration I see an error telling me I cannot connect to the Runtime Service. How do I fix this?

This is most likely a result of manually installing the Trusted Root Certification Authority certificates manually but installing them in the "Current User" Certificate store instead of the "Local Machine" Certificate store. Please download the certificates below and follow the steps to make sure the certificates are installed in the correct location:

TOP Server 6.1 Root Certificate Authority Certificates

This file will need to be copied to the machine that TOP Server is being installed on, and installed prior to running the TOP Server installer.

To install the the certificates:

  1. Open a command prompt and run the following command to open the certificate store for the local machine: C:\Windows\System32\mmc.exe C:\Windows\system32\certlm.msc
  2. Confirm that the certificate manager that opens is for the local computer - the top level item in the tree view on the left side should read "Certificates - Local Computer"
  3. Right click on the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" Folder and select All Task ⇒ Import ...
  4. Browse to the two certificates above and install them one at a time
  5. Close the certificate manager console

At this point the installer should complete without problems.
