Adding Multiple Data Stores to Data Logger

A Project is not limited in how many Data Storages can be associated with it– the data can be logged to several databases simultaneously, even if the storage medium is different.

Can I add multiple Data Stores in OPC Data Logger?

 

In OPC Data Logger, the Logging Task acts as the container where all data collection is configured. Meanwhile, the Data Storage components act as the interface between the OPC Data Logger and the Storage. A Logging Task can link a Data Collector to any number of Data Storages.

Data Logger only automatically adds the first configured Data Store to the Logging Task, so any subsequent Data Stores will need to be added manually.

To set up two (or more) Data Stores, first create the Data Stores under Data Storage. Once these are configured, right click on the Logging Task group and click "Properties". From here, go to the "Log To" tab. This is where the Data Stores can be added.
