EasyDAClient Exception on OPC DA Client Applications using OPC Data Client 2020.2

Any OPC Data Client 2020.2 application that utilizes the EasyDAClient object (including the Connectivity Explorer) is met with the following error: "The type initializer for 'OpcLabs.EasyOpc.DataAccess.EasyDAClient' threw an exception."

This issue will be fixed in the 2020.3 release, but until then, here is the workaround
  1. Visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
  2. Scroll down to find the heading "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019".
  3. If you are on 32-bit machine, download and install the x86 library. If you are on a 64-bit machine, install both the x86 and x64 libraries.
