TOP Server with Rockwell RSLogix Emulate 5000

RSLogix Emulate 5000 does not expose an interface for external connections; in other words, there is no way to add a Ethernet module with an external IP to the emulated chassis.

Does TOP Server support communications to the Rockwell Emulate 5000 platform?

Rockwell has designed the Emulate 5000 software to be used as a CPU emulator to validate code and logic, but not to run as a SoftPLC the way the SoftLogix controllers used to (this is why Rockwell does not recommend Emulate 5000 as an upgrade path from SoftLogix, they recommend a physical Logix PLC instead).

It sounds like - based on Rockwell documentation - that it IS possible to add a RSLinx connector to the Emulate 5000 Chassis - which would then expose the data via OPC DA, but there is no way to access the Emulate 5000 data as one would with a physical ControlLogix PLC.
