Enabling and Disabling the OPC UA server interface in TOP Server V6.x
How do I enable or disable the OPC UA server interface in TOP Server V6.x?
By default, as part of standard out-of-the-box security measures for TOP Server V6.x, the OPC UA server interface is disabled. To enable or disable the OPC UA server interface for connections from an OPC UA client, you'll need to do the following:
- Open the TOP Server Configuration interface (either from the Start menu or by right-clicking on the TOP Server Administration system tray icon and selecting Configuration).
- In the left-hand tree view, right-click on Project and select Properties... to launch the TOP Server Properties Editor for the project.
- Go to the OPC UA section under the Server Interface section at the top.
- For the Enable setting:
- Keep this setting at No (Default) to disable the OPC UA server interface for TOP server and prevent any OPC UA clients from accessing TOP Server via that interface. (Recommended if you are NOT using OPC UA).
- Toggle this setting to Yes to enable the OPC UA server interface and allow OPC UA clients to access TOP Server via that interface (Recommended only if you need to use OPC UA to access TOP Server).
- If you've made changes to the Enable setting, click the Apply button to save them and exit the Property Editor by clicking OK.
