Does TOP Server support the Allen-Bradley 1784-U2-DHP USB-to-DH+ cable?
Yes, the Allen-Bradley DF1 driver (part of the TOP Server Allen-Bradley Suite) supports the 1784-U2-DHP cable.
This cable acts as a converter from DF1 to DH+. The cable and its related Rockwell software create a virtual Serial communications port on the PC running TOP Server. This communications port (which can be verified using the Windows Device Manager to determine the proper COM port number to use in TOP Server) will be targeted with the Allen-Bradley DF1 driver.
Simply define an AB DF1 channel and device in TOP Server that uses the appropriate COM port corresponding to the 1784-U2-DHP that connects your TOP Server machine to the PLC.
