Error when installing TOP Server V6.11 or later

"CreateProcess failed (1638)" error when starting the install1
Unable to upgrade to TOP Server version 6.11 or later

 

This error is related to TOP Server's support of the newer Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables: 
  1. Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (x86) from here.2
  2. Reboot the machine.
  3. Proceed with installing TOP Server. 
 
1You may not encounter the CreateProcess error, but this solution may still resolve your installer issues. 
2You MUST download the x86 redistributables - NOT x64
