TOP Server OPC Data Access Certification
TOP Server has passed the OPC Foundation's OPC Data Access 3.05 compliance test.
However, we have found that some OPC client applications have chosen to handle things differently than the specification, and thus we have made a few behaviors user-configurable for maximum interoperability. Certification is for OPC Clients and Compliance is for OPC Servers.
To run TOP Server v5 in FULL OPC Data Access 2.04 COMPLIANCE MODE you must:
- Click on Tools ⇒ Options in the TOP Server menu. Select the OPC Compliance tab and enable the checkbox for "Perform the following operations in accordance with the OPC specification."
- On the same dialog, go to the OPC Settings tab and disable the check boxes next to "Include hints when a client browses the server item list" and "Allow clients to write to system level tags." More information is available by clicking on the Help button on the above dialogs.
