Adding the LGH File Inspector Industrial Graphic to InTouch 2023

How do I add the LGH File Inspector Industrial Graphic to my AVEVA InTouch 2023 window?

  1. Unzip the *.zip file provided in the download link
  2. From the AVEVA 2023 InTouch WindowMaker menu, click File ⇒ Import
  3. Then, from the Visualization menu, select Industrial Graphics
  4. Browse to the LGHUserControl.aaPKG package file and choose Open.
  5. Choose either of the Overwrite options from the Import Industrial Graphics prompt and click the OK button. Once the import is complete, the LGHUserControl graphic will appear in the Industrial Graphics display.
  6. Right-click a blank area within the Industrial Graphics window and choose New Graphic from the pop-up menu.
  7. Give your symbol a user-friendly name of your choice.
  8. Double-click your new symbol to open it in the Industrial Graphic Editor; The editor opens with a blank canvas ready to accept the LGHUserControl.
  9. Choose Edit, then Embed Industrial Graphic
  10. Select the LGHUserControl from the Galaxy Browser and place the control onto the canvas.
  11. The LGH File Inspector graphic will appear, and several messages will be displayed about the LGH Data Directory path that doesn’t exist. Exit these messages, as they will be handled later from InTouch WindowViewer.
  12. Click the Save and Close button from the Graphic Editor to save your new symbol.  Note that the messages about the LGH Data Directory path may display again, so we will close them out.
  13. Place the symbol on an InTouch Window. Continue to exit any messages about the LGH Data Directory.
  14. Start WindowViewer to view the new LGH File Inspector symbol on an InTouch window.
  15. Set the LGH Data Directory when the messages warn you that the directory has not been set yet, as well as your timezone if prompted.
