Using the same Communication Port and Modem for Multiple Channels

Is it possible to use the same communication port and modem on multiple channels within the same TOP Server project? When I try to configure an additional channel, the "Com already in use" message is displayed.

If you are using the same driver, simply format a different device under the same channel.

If you are using a different driver that supports connection sharing, use the Connection Sharing Plug-In. More information about connection sharing can be found here.

If you are using a different driver that does not support connection sharing, configure the communication port in both channels to none. Then, configure the communication port in the second device to the desired port and specify to use serial modem.

This can be done by writing to these Channel _System tags from a client application.
