Not able to save OmniServer Protocol

When I try to save the OmniServer Protocol I get an error message: "Error writing file C:...<protocol.dpd> and omnisrv.cfg"

This is caused by one of two situations:

1. The .DPD and .CFG files have been marked as "Read Only". This normally occurs when protocols and configurations have been copied from a CD-ROM, where all the files are marked "Read Only". Take off the "Read Only" flag for these files and you will be able to save.
2. The .BPD (Version 1.x) or .BAK (Version 2.x) files cannot be created. OmniServer will always backup your configuration and protocol files before overwriting them. Make sure these files are not marked as "Read Only", the directory itself is not marked "Read Only", or you have sufficient hard disk space to create and save these files.
