Seeing "Part of this app has been blocked" or 0xc0e90002
When launching OmniServer's configuration, I receive a "Bad Image" error with status 0xc0e90002. I am also seeing pop-ups from Windows Security stating that some features of the OmniServer Polling Program may not work because it cannot confirm who published the dlls. How do I resolve this?
This is a feature of Windows Security's Smart App control. It is common for OmniServer, especially newer releases, to not be trusted by Smart App Control due to the security service not being able to make a confident prediction about the application.
At the writing of this FAQ, Microsoft does not offer an option to disable Smart App Control on an application basis.
If you are seeing this error, first run a Repair to ensure that your OmniServer installation is not corrupted. After doing so, if you are still seeing the error, the only option at this time is to turn Smart App Control to Off.
